The problem with a brilliant business idea is that sometimes they are not legal. There are many local, state, and federal restriction regarding the exercise of business. Municipalities for example often restrict the sale of merchandise on municipal streets and parks. In such cases one would check to see if “peddlers” or “hawkers’ permits were available and how you would obtain one. In the case of state restrictions, one is sometimes required to have a state issued license and financial responsibility coverages. The federal government restricts the sale of many things such as firearms and explosives without a federal permit. Before you start a business, research the laws that govern it and the regulations that control the site you want to work in.
